Karen Boatman joined Amarillo College in 2007. She received her Business Administration Computer Information Systems Associate degree from Amarillo College in 2005 and continued her education at Oklahoma Panhandle State University. She graduated OPSU Cum Laude 2007 with a Bachelor of Business Administration Computer Information Systems. She finished her education at Wayland Baptist University in 2014 acquiring a Master Business Administration Management Information Systems degree. She has been teaching CIS full time for AC since fall of 2015. Karen was promoted to CIS Coordinator position fall 2020.

Christopher George

Christopher George is Program Advisor for the Computer Networking/Cybersecurity (A.A.S). He is a graduate of Amarillo College's Electronic Systems Technologies program and holds a baccalaureate degree from Oklahoma Panhandle State University's Business Management program. He is a 24 year veteran in the field of computing and information technology. He has obtained many global industry certifications including EC-Council's Certified Network Defender (CND), Cisco's CCENT, CompTIA's A+, Net+, Security+, Server+, and Cyber Security Analyst (CYSA+). He has recently helped spearhead and is the Director of the Amarillo College Badger Esports program and has received the 2020 Faculty Excellence Award for Student Engagement.

Ms. Kenney is an instructor in both the Computer Information Systems and Business Technology programs. She received a bachelor of science degree in Psychology from the University of California, Davis and a master's degree in Business Administration from Webster University. Delane McUne is the Dual Credit Coordinator for CIS. She attended Amarillo College before earning her BS in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin. After working for several years at GE Power Systems, she opened her own business. During this time, she received an MBA from Eastern New Mexico University. She began her career in academia in 2004 and has taught in a variety of academic areas including Management, Industrial Technology, Wind Energy, Engineering, and Computer Information Systems. She is currently a CIS Instructor at Amarillo College. She enjoys spending time playing games with her family and volunteering with a variety of local organizations.

Joseph Melius is the Program Advisor for the CIS - Game Design Certificate. He joined the Amarillo College faculty in 2019. He began his academic journey at Amarillo College right out of high school and received his associate's degree in Computer Information Systems in 2009. After returning to school, he received a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from West Texas A&M in 2017 and is currently pursuing a master's degree from Georgia Institute of Technology in Computer Science. As an instructor, he is always eager to help students succeed in their academic and professional goals. He has a passion for various Information Systems topics and believes that critical thinking, logic, and problem solving skills are of paramount importance to any aspiring programmer, software developer, or other IT professional.

Timothy Vo joined Amarillo College in 2022. He received Bachelor and Master in Computer Since at University of Texas at Arlington. He has many years of working as a software engineering and technical lead for a software development team.
